During a Master Class students were asked to experiment with lighting in order to create bold shadow shapes that portrayed the unique structure of their faces.

For many students this was the first time they experienced their face as a moment of discovery and exploration.

In a discussion two students summarized their experience as, "Art is overcoming a series of personal obstacles."
